Mets win Game series verse Washington Nationals

The NY Mets finish the game series against The Nationals strong with Livan Hernandez on the mound.  Hernandez pitched excellent with seven shutout innings and the lineup gave the starting pitcher plenty of run support.  Mets win this one 7 – 0.

Mets face a tough series against The Phillies  starting Tuesday.  Johan Santana gets the start Tuesday at 7:10 pm Citi Field

Mets need to avoid sweep!

Mets lose to Dodgers and need to avoid the sweep Wednesday night. Mets’ bats lacking power on this west coast trip as they lose 5-3.

Mets are a game back from The Phillies in The National East Division and they will face another tough team The Boston Red Sox , Friday begins the opener of that series.

Mets need a good start from Hernandez and need to provide run support Wednesday night to avoid losing 4 games in a row. The team is definitely struggling without Delgado in the lineup.
